Responsiblity and Transparency

As some of you may know, I have been actively working in the community to oppose a high-density development on the former Channing YMCA property in my historic neighborhood of the Elgin Historic District.

After experiencing frustration with local government first hand, I thought I could effect more change by becoming even more active in the community! "If you can't beat them, join them." During my campaign for Kane County Board, I began to investigate the roles and responsibilty of Elgin Township. This has not been an easy task, and I believe that the Elgin Township Government needs more accounatiblity and transparency.

Do you know what the Township does for you?

I will lead with TRUE representation of my district, ORIGINAL problem-solving skills, and ETHICS which seem to have been recently forgotten by members of the other political parties.

Our founding fathers never intended this country to be run by only two dominant political parties. In the last few years I have found both parties to be practicing politics for politics stake and NOT for what they should be doing - serving their constituents. They have lost their values and in the process, the very reason this country was founded.
