Elgin Neighborhoods

As some of you may know, I have been actively working in the community to oppose a high-density development on the former Channing YMCA property in my historic neighborhood of the Elgin Historic District. I am a member of my local neighorhood group, the Gifford Park Association and support community efforts city-wide.

I was drawn to Elgin by the historic architecture, and stayed because of great neighbors.

I became involved because I wanted to make a difference in my life and in those around me.

One person CAN make a difference- but you need to participate in any way, large or small!

Make a difference - let your voice be heard

Our founding fathers never intended this country to be run by only two dominant political parties. In the last few years I have found both parties to be practicing politics for politics stake and NOT for what they should be doing - serving their constituents. They have lost their values and in the process, the very reason this country was founded. This is why I support the Green Party of the United States. They are an independent party with solid core values and REFUSE support by "Big Business."
